Description

The Big K Slicker Brush is another popular dog brush by Chris Christensen. Use for grooming Bouviers, Schnauzers, Black Russian Terriers and those Goldendoodles and Labradoodles with a high density coat. The magic of this brush is in the soft cushion and pins, both work together to retract and grab large knots out of a matted dog. This slicker brush removes tangles and mats with ease.

What is the difference between the Big G and the Big K?

The only difference is that the Big G has 40% more pins than the Big K. This allows the Big K to penetrate deep into a denser coat while the Big G can do more work per stroke. A great analogy would be like using a comb, you first use a coarse side of the comb (Big K) then the fine side of the comb (Big G). Each will work effectively but will take knots out easier depending on coat density. For dense coats use the Big K for breeds like Bouvier de Flandres and Black Russian Terriers and for lighter coats use the Big G for breeds like Poodles. As a professional groomer, you should really have both unless you simply want to try it out. You won’t go wrong with either, trust me, this brush will change your grooming forever! How do I know what size to choose?

The Big G and Big K come in three different sizes Baby, Medium and Large. If you are unfamiliar or unsure, start with the large size because the function of this brush is primarily for larger size dogs over (over 40lbs). Also, the larger size is the most popular and sold of the three sizes. Choose the medium size if the breeds you are working on are smaller or if your hand gets easily fatigued from brushing. The Baby sizes allow you to reach areas like armpits and in between the legs, a common place for tangles and knots. I recommend trying a few sizes/models and finding the one that suits your needs. At GroomersPro.com we have a 30-day return policy which is great for making sure you get the brush the best satisfies your needs. We want our customers to be happy with their purchase!
